The instructions below show how to create and share a group presentation in VoiceThread, submit the VoiceThread to a Canvas assignment as a Website URL, and share the VoiceThread to the Course View.
Instructions
- The group leader must log into the JHU instance of VoiceThread and sign in with their JHU credentials: https://jhu.voicethread.com/.
- Click the plus icon to create a new VoiceThread. Select Add from Device to upload slides.
- While in the presentation, click Share. In the Share window, click Add People, then Share with members of courses and groups.
- Find your course from the list of groups and click Show Members to select only your group members. You will see how many members have been selected at the top of the list. Click Continue, select the Edit radio button, then click Share.
- Once the presentation is finished, the group leader needs to submit the VoiceThread to the Canvas assignment. Click Share, change the view option to Anyone with link can view, then click Copy share link. Copy and paste the link into the Canvas assignment submission.
- Finally, the leader must share the presentation with the VoiceThread Course View. Open the Share options, select Add people, then Share with members of courses and groups. Find your course from the list provided, check the box next to the title of the course, and click Continue.
- Ensure the correct course displays in the window, select the Comment radio button, then Share. The Share page will confirm which groups/courses/individuals have access to the presentation.
