How to Use Batch Edit Feature

This article will instruct you on how to use the Batch Edit feature to make adjustments to assignments while the course is in progress. The Batch Edit feature will allow you to shift the due dates of multiple assignments by a set amount of dates. The feature is available any time throughout the semester and is implemented to help you save time. 


Instructions


  1. Click the Assignments link in Course Navigation.  

  2. On the assignments page click Options [1], and then Edit Assignments Dates [2]. 

  3. In the Title column [1], all graded assignments are visible. In the Due At [2] column, you will be able to see the due dates of current assignments. The Available From, Available Until [3] displays current availability dates for assignments. 

  4. To edit multiple assignments, select multiple assignment dates. Use date range fields [1] or calendar icon [2] to select assignments in a particular date range. To select all assignments, utilize the Select All checkbox [3]. To edit the dates for specific assignments select the checkboxes in the assignment rows [4]. The header [5] will show the amount of assignments selected. The Batch Edit button [6] will take you to the Batch Edit feature.


  5. Click Shift Dates [1] to shift assignments by a specific amount of dates in the Days field [2]. You can also utilize the up and down arrows [2] to select the amount of days.


    To remove availability and due dates from the selected assignments, select Remove Dates [4] options. Click OK [5]  to finish the process.
